Six new three-bedroomed, semi-detached homes in Bolton-upon-Dearne, a suburb of Barnsley. The project looks to make best use of this gap site to provide much needed additional housing whilst integrating as seamlessly as possible with the local architectural language.

The client tasked us with developing a design that meets the key brief criteria of quality, robustness and efficiency to maximise the site’s potential whilst working within the constraints of an outline approval.

The proposal creates a contemporary set of dwellings, with crisp detailing that acknowledge the vernacular whilst delivering high quality new housing for the region that meets the Local and National criteria and standards, and most importantly providing homes to be proud of for the people that will live in them.
